Olin Chlor Alkali Products has an opportunity for a Regulatory Specialist in our Responsible Care® (EHS&S) area. The Regulatory Specialist is a subject matter expert, division and site resource and accountable to develop, implement, and maintain procedures and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements across the Division. This position reports to the Director of Olin Responsible Care®. This position will be located at our manufacturing site in Charleston, Tennessee.

Responsibilities include:
· Serve as subject matter expert in all regulatory matters; provide support for regional and plant EHS&S personnel as assigned.
· Develop a positive working relationship and serve as point of contact for all regulatory agencies.
· Develop, create and maintain innovative regulatory policies and procedures for the Division and implement in conjunction with regional and site EHS&S resources.
· Facilitate the development and implementation of area Responsible Care® procedures and EHSS improvement strategies.
· Facilitate and assist management leadership teams in maintaining comprehensive regulatory programs. Develop and implement compliance strategy(s) to meet regulatory requirements.
· Evaluate current and proposed codes, standards, regulations, and guidelines to determine the impact on current and future programs and activities for the Division.
· Ensures the continuity of performance indicators, development and implementation of programs, approaches and initiatives to increase the regulatory performance.
· Maintain working knowledge of new technologies developed by the industry and government regulators.
· Advise, consult, and audit EHS&S programs and performance at various facilities to ensure compliance with Division, federal, and state or provincial rules and regulations.

Qualifications include:
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
· Minimum of 5 years EHS&S experience in a manufacturing industrial environment required; multi-site management experience required; process or chemical industry experience strongly preferred.
· Experience should include acting as liason between client/company and regulatory agencies.
· Demonstrated experience in internal and external audits.
· Knowledge of Federal and State regulations required, including EPA, FDA, DOT, and state regulations. Canadian experience is a plus.
· Development, maintenance, and sustainment of procedures and best practices relating to EHS&S programs.
· Must be able to obtain or currently hold a valid Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC), and pass a background check under US MTSA requirements.
· Must have excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills in dealing with employees at all levels and regulatory agencies.
· Proven ability to lead and gain support for EHS&S initiatives and programs is essential; proven record of working to successful and positive resolutions.
· Variable travel required (at least 25%).
