GUEST SPEAKER SERIES: A COVERSATION WITH JILL WHITCOMBDirector with the Bureau of Watershed Restoration and Nonpoint Source Management Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection
Join us on Friday, February 10th from 12pm-1pm for a virtual meeting and conversation with Jill Whitcomb. Jill serves as the Director of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Bureau of Watershed Restoration and Nonpoint Source Management. Jill will be presenting on topics which focus on the Chesapeake Bay restoration efforts, Phase 3 Watershed Implementation Plan (WIP), local PADEP partnerships in the Bay's restoration journey, and other topics.
In her position with PADEP, Jill provides the vision and leadership for Pennsylvania’s nonpoint source management program, conservation districts, agriculture conservation and compliance assurance, and Chesapeake Bay watershed restoration efforts. Prior to serving in this role, she was the Director of the DEP Chesapeake Bay Office and the Environmental Group Manager of the Nonpoint Source Compliance Section in the Bureau of Clean Water. Before joining DEP, Jill worked for the Lancaster County Conservation District. Jill holds a Master of Environmental Pollution Control from Penn State University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Lebanon Valley College. She resides in Lancaster County with her family.
