Q. How long is my membership good for? When do I need to renew?

A. SWEP of Greater Philadelphia memberships run from January 1 to December 31. All memberships expire on January 1. If you paid for your membership after October 1, then you were credited for the following year.

Q. How many people can be part of a group membership?

A. SWEP of Greater Philadelphia does not limit the number of people who can be part of a group/organization/corporate membership. We do request, however, that groups limit the number of members attending a program to 5. Additional attendees should pay the non-member attendance rate.

Q. Can men join SWEP?

A. Absolutely. We encourage men to join our organization and we already have many male members.

Q. How can I get more out of my SWEP membership?

A. Volunteering to help on one of our many committees is the best way to become a part of the SWEP network and to get to know people in the local environmental industry. The Committees page describes our committees and lists contact information for committee Chairs. Contact one of the Chairs to get involved in a committee that looks interesting to you – they are all always looking for volunteers!

Q. If I want to be a joint Philadelphia/New Jersey member, where do I sign up?

A. The Greater Philadelphia and New Jersey SWEP chapters have an arrangement that allows you to sign up for a joint membership with either organization. You do not have to contact both. Sign up with one or the other, whichever is easier for you, and we will do the rest.
